If we had to pick our favourite hand embroidery technique of all time, it’ll have to be the ‘Kashmiri Tilla Dozi’… and by favourite, we mean that we are borderline obsessed with it! There is something so evocative about this diminishing art that we can’t get enough of it. The way the gold, silver and copper threads adorn the luxurious shawls, phirans and sarees with designs of chinar leaves, paisleys, and an array of Kashmiri flowers is beyond gorgeous! So, as die-hard fans and ardent collectors of Tilla Dozi pieces, we wanted to design a pair of mojaris that complemented the regality of our favourite Tilla pieces and that’s how Ava was born. Set on a hot pink silk base, the upper showcases an intricate jaal of botanical patterns inspired by Tilla Dozi, all hand embroidered using zardozi, glass beads and sequin work. The motif that takes center stage is an abstract rendition of the chinar leaf. The back flaunts a large brooch-style motif right in the center. The entire design is thoughtfully done in gold hues to make it pop nicely against the shocking background making Ava a star piece!

Add a matching pink wrap to finish the look and you’re ready for a nice winter gathering!
